Ski Trip 2026
Court Fields School is delighted to announce the tremendous success of this year’s school ski trip to Cesana, Italy, where 37 enthusiastic students and five dedicated staff members enjoyed an unforgettable week in the Alps.
From the moment the group arrived, they were greeted by fresh snowfall, with another generous layer of powder midweek creating perfect skiing conditions for all abilities. Students ranged from complete beginners to experienced skiers, and by the end of the week every child was confidently skiing around the mountain, a testament to their hard work, determination, and the support of the four ski groups led by expert instructors.
Exceptional Progress and an Alpine Experience to Remember
Across all four groups, students made consistent progress throughout the week. Their instructors, along with hotel staff and even members of the public during the journey, repeatedly commented on the children’s enthusiasm, manners, and positive attitude. They represented both the school and their wider community with pride.
Warm Hospitality and Delicious Italian Cuisine
The group stayed in a welcoming and well-run hotel, where the staff catered for everyone’s needs with kindness and efficiency. The food was plentiful, hearty, and offered students the chance to enjoy a wide range of delicious local dishes, with pasta proving to be a clear favourite.
A Wonderful Variety of AprèsSki Activities
Beyond the slopes, students enjoyed a full programme of evening and cultural activities, including:
A visit to a traditional pizza restaurant
A lively night at a local disco
A trip to a charming crêperie
Shopping in the picturesque Alpine village for souvenirs
A fun-filled games night, featuring Chameleon, cards, pool, and more
A quiz evening to kick off the week
The combination of skiing, social activities, and the stunning mountain environment helped students build confidence, resilience, independence, and a lasting appreciation for the Alps.
Pride in Our Students
Throughout the entire journey, from travelling through the UK and France to the group’s time in Italy and the return home, students received numerous positive comments from members of the public, coach drivers, the hotel manager, and ski instructors. Their behaviour, kindness, and camaraderie made the experience feel, in many ways, like one big family adventure. Saying goodbye to the mountains at the end of the week was bittersweet for everyone.
