Rights Respecting Schools Award

At Court Field’s School, we are a Silver Rights Respecting School. This means children’s rights, as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN‑CRC), guide our values, curriculum, policies, and daily practice. What this means in our school:

  1. Children’s Rights Come First
We use the UNCRC to ensure every child is treated with dignity and respect, decisions are made in their best interests, and pupils learn about their own rights and the rights of others.

  2. Pupils Have a Voice

Children are encouraged to share their views, take part in decision‑making, and feel confident that their opinions matter.

  3. Respect Shapes Our Culture

Respect is modelled in behaviour, relationships, and conflict resolution, becoming part of our everyday ethos.

  4. A Safe, Inclusive Environment

We promote equality, fairness, anti‑bullying, and emotional and physical safety so that every child feels valued and cared for.

  5. Global Citizenship

Pupils learn how rights apply locally and globally and how they can make a positive difference in the world.

  6. A Positive Learning Environment

Rights‑respecting practice helps build stronger relationships, better behaviour, increased confidence, and a greater sense of community.
