2026 GCSE Results Press Release

Court Fields School is delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students in their 2026 GCSE examinations. The results reflect the hard work, resilience and determination shown by students throughout their time at the school, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and families. 

Highlights included the attainment of students across the board (reflected in the school’s improving Attainment 8 measure), a continuing improvement in the results for disadvantaged students, especially those securing a Grade 4 (Standard Pass) in English and increased numbers of students gaining the highest grades at 7 and above across a range of subjects. The school also saw increasing numbers of students making exceptional progress from Key Stage 2 to the end of Key Stage 4. 

Headteacher Polly Matthews commented, "We are very pleased with the achievements of our students this year. These results are a reflection of the commitment, perseverance and positive attitude shown by our young people throughout their studies. We are equally proud of the dedication of our staff, whose expertise and encouragement have helped students fulfil their potential."

Today's results highlight not only academic success, but also the ambition, character and resilience that our students have developed during their time with us."

Among the high-performing subjects this year were History, French, Performing Arts, Art, and Photography, which saw exceptional outcomes across the board. We are also proud to highlight significant improvements in Design Technology, Food, and Creative iMedia, reflecting the impact of targeted support and curriculum development in these areas.  

Individual student successes include Ben F, Isabelle H, Kelsie I, Elsa J, Nicole P,  Amber P, Karylle P, Ella P, Julia R, Isabelle S who achieved outstanding results across a wide range of subjects, including multiple grade 9 & 8s. Their achievements exemplify the high standards and aspirations we nurture at Court Fields. A special mention must go to Rosie S (7 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 8), James R (7 Grade 9s), Sam F (5 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s), Murewa A (4 Grade 9s, and 4 Grade 8s) and Edith K (3 Grade 9s and 4 Grade 8s) for achieving stunning results at the highest grades. Students making exceptional progress from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 included Ethan B, Maisie C, Kiki E, Kelsie I, Asher L, Charlie M, and Edie S, demonstrating an outstanding ongoing commitment to their education throughout their time at Court Fields School. 

Mrs Matthews added "We are very proud of all our students and everything they have achieved. As they move on to the next stage of their education, training or employment, they do so with a wealth of experiences, skills and achievements that will serve them well in the future. We have every confidence that they will continue to thrive and make a positive contribution wherever their next steps take them."

She also paid tribute to the staff and families who have supported students throughout their journey, "Our staff have worked tirelessly to provide guidance, encouragement and opportunities for every student, and we are extremely grateful for the support of parents and carers throughout the years. The partnership between home and school plays a vital role in helping young people succeed, and today's achievements are very much a collective accomplishment."

2025 GCSE Results Press Release

Court Fields School is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students in their 2025 GCSE examinations, continuing the school's positive trend of improvement, and highlighting our students’ hard work and determination.

This year, national reporting focuses solely on attainment in English and Maths, due to the disruption to progress measures caused by the Covid pandemic, which meant that this cohort did not sit their Key Stage 2 SATs. In line with this, Court Fields School is proud to announce that these are our best ever GCSE results since the introduction of the reformed qualifications and the 9–1 grading system in 2017.

Headteacher Polly Matthews commented “We are absolutely thrilled with the performance of our students this year. Their results reflect not only their hard work and commitment, but also the dedication and expertise of our staff team. These outcomes are a testament to the strength of our curriculum, our inclusive ethos, and the support from families and the wider school community.”

Their achievements exemplify the high standards and aspirations we nurture at Court Fields. A special mention must go to Olivia D (all grade 9s) and Millie H (7 grade 9s and 1 grade 8).

Mrs. Matthews added We are incredibly proud of all our students. Their achievements this year, both academic and personal, will open doors to exciting futures. Whether they are continuing their studies, entering apprenticeships, or pursuing other pathways, we know they will go on to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.”

She also paid tribute to the staff and families who have supported students throughout their journey: “Our staff have gone above and beyond to support every student, and our parents and carers have played a vital role in this success. Together, we have created an environment where every young person can thrive. Our results this year show the impact of our school development, our focus on hard work, good attendance and high expectations, and the wider support that our students receive in order for them to achieve their very best.”
