Message from Mrs Matthews

It was so lovely to see so many of you at meet the tutor evening this week. A special mention to our Year 7 & 11 students for setting a really high standard, and thank you to all the parents/carers for your support.

Excitement is building for our ski trip in January following the information evening this week, and we’re looking forward to our two remaining celebration evenings next week.

Have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Mrs Matthews

Term Dates Reminder

Richard Huish Assembly

Thank you to Richard Huish College who joined us on Monday morning for our Year 11 assembly.

We now have copies of their 2027/28 Prospectus in the library - come and grab a copy!

Sports news

1) We had an amazing morning hosting some local primary schools at our Year 3 Indoor Athletics Festival earlier this week!

The new Year 9 Sports Leaders were outstanding in their leadership skills, showing lots of encouragement and explaining things so well.

2) Year 8 girls had a go at an adaptive contact rugby session last week, held at Huish Epsicopi

At first they were nervous but as they got involved and completed the small group activities, but by the end of the session they were confident. They were able to apply the adaptive contact learnt and put this in a game at the end.

Here the girls were learning tackling on the tackle pads. Well done all!

3) The under 16s travelled to Holyrood for the first round of the football county cup this week. Court Fields won 7-0 and are through to the next round, with goals from Lily x4, Flo x2 and Frankie x1!

Holyrood voted Faith as Player of the match and Miss Cridge's Player of the match went to Cheyenne

Well done girls!

New Awards Trophies

We’re thrilled with our new awards and keyrings from Quintet Collective! We hope the children love them as much as we do.

Year 8 Art Work

Our Year 8s have been working hard in Art on their sketching, tone and colour pencil blending, and these are some of the results. Well done all!

Student Exhibition

The exhibition of our former Art & Photography students' work is now open at the Talent Gallery in Wellington!

The exhibition is open for 4 weeks, so pop along and view a selection of work from the Class of 2026

New member of the Careers team

We are delighted to have Philippa Hunt join the team at Court Fields.  Working alongside Charity, Philippa is busy interviewing Year 11s providing expert, impartial careers guidance, helping students make informed choices and supporting the school to meet careers education requirements.  Welcome Philippa.

New Apprenticeships Club

From November, Charity will be starting this new club on a Tuesday lunchtime, for any Year 10 & 11s who want to find out more about Apprenticeships.

Speak to her directly for more information.

Non-uniform Day on 22nd October

Thursday 22 October, our school is proudly taking part in Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink day to raise vital funds and awareness for breast cancer research and support. It would normally be on 23 October but we have an Inset Day then.

We are inviting all students and staff to wear non-uniform and ideally wear something pink for the day. This could be a full pink outfit, or simply a splash of pink such as a tie, socks, hair ribbon, or badge.

To participate, we kindly ask for a suggested donation of £1 per student. This is available to pay on the Arbor app in the School Shop section (Non-Uniform Day Wear it Pink) or the children can bring in cash.

As always, non-uniform must be appropriate within a school environment and no strappy/cropped tops.

Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity in helping us back this life-changing cause.
