Parent Bulletin 2nd Oct 2026
Message from Mrs Matthews
Last week and this week, we were delighted to welcome prospective Year 6 students and their families to our Open Mornings. Visitors talked about how much they enjoyed seeing learning in action, meeting our staff and students, and experiencing the warm, inclusive community that makes Court Fields such a special place. Thank you to our staff and students!
We were also proud to celebrate our KS3 Graduation last night with our Year 10 students. This important milestone recognised students’ achievements, resilience and growth throughout their first three years at Court Fields. The ceremony marked the successful completion of Key Stage 3 and the exciting beginnings that they have already made to their Key Stage 4 journey. Congratulations to all our graduates!
Have a lovely weekend, Mrs Matthews
Duke of Edinburgh
Congratulations to our 32 students who successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh Expedition this weekend in the Quantocks!
Over the course of the expedition, students took part in 2 days walking with their fully loaded back packs, camped overnight, cooked a meal, navigated routes independently within their teams. Throughout the experience they showed fantastic dedication, resilience, teamwork and determination, rising to every challenge with a positive attitude. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather, helping to make this a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Well done to every student involved for this fantastic achievement. We are very proud of you!
Plus, a big thank you to the all adults involved who made it possible.

Hello Yellow
💛 Hello Yellow – Friday 9th October 💛
We are proud to be taking part in Hello Yellow on Friday 9th October to raise awareness for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity supporting young people’s mental health.
💛 How can students get involved?
Students are invited to wear one yellow item in addition to their normal school uniform, such as yellow socks or a hairband.
Please note that full school uniform should still be worn, with the yellow item added as a sign of support.
Most importantly, we would like to share some of the fantastic resources YoungMinds offers to support parents and carers:

📞 Parents Helpline: 0808 802 5544
(Open Monday-Friday, 9.30am-4.00pm)
💬 Online chat and email support: www.youngminds.org.uk/parentshelpline
Together, let's turn our school yellow, raise awareness, and show that mental health matters. 💛
Contacting Charity
If our Careers Lead, Charity, isn't in school and you need to leave her a message or drop off paperwork, please use the postbox in the Library.
School Drop off & Collection Reminder
A gentle reminder to all parents and carers:
For the safety of our students, staff and visitors, please do not drive up the main school driveway during morning drop-off and afternoon collection times. These are particularly busy periods, with large numbers of students walking on site and vehicles moving around the school grounds. The school driveway should only be used by parents and carers who have received prior permission from the school to do so. If you believe you require access arrangements, please contact the school office.
We would also ask that parents and carers are considerate of our neighbours by not blocking access to local businesses and not using the Medical Centre car park when dropping off or collecting students.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us keep everyone safe.
